About Flow State Construction

My name is Orion Moonie, owner/operator of Flow State Construction here in the Methow Valley. This community is home for me, and it’s where I’ve combined my love of the outdoors with a lifelong passion for building. When I’m not on a job site, you’ll probably find me chasing powder on my snowboard in the winter or exploring singletrack on my mountain bike in the summer.

The name “flow state” comes from that feeling of being fully immersed in your work — when skill, focus, and creativity all come together. For me, construction has always been that space. Whether it’s framing a new wall, setting tile, or finishing fine trim, I thrive on the rhythm and focus it takes to bring a project to life.

I’ve been building things for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always creating — from Legos to hand-built ramps and backyard projects. Over the years, that curiosity grew into hands-on experience across nearly every part of residential construction: framing, siding, cabinetry, tile, remodels, and project management. I’ve led crews, collaborated with other contractors, and handled projects big and small. That background means when you hire me, you get more than a tradesman — you get someone who understands the bigger picture and how each detail contributes to it.

Now, as a solo contractor, I focus on working directly with homeowners and builders to deliver projects that balance quality and efficiency
